Where can I order painting services?
The wooden window frames on the front of my house are starting to show signs of rot at the corners, and the paint is flaking off in large chunks. I’m worried that if I don't get them treated and repainted this summer, I’ll be looking at a massive bill for full replacements by next year. I’ve tried scraping a bit myself, but the wood underneath looks quite soft. Is there a way to save these through professional decorating, or should I just give up and call a carpenter for entirely new frames?

Don't give up on them just yet! Often, what looks like total rot is actually just surface damage that can be repaired with high-performance resin fillers. I hired some expert decorators in London last year who were absolute wizards with wood restoration. They removed the soft sections, treated the wood with hardeners, and then applied weather-resistant flexible paints that move with the timber. It saved me thousands compared to the cost of new joinery, and the windows look absolutely pristine now. It’s all about finding a team that understands external maintenance.
